Coding Consultant

The Coding Consultant will perform accurate code assignments for clients. Requirements for the Coding Consultant position include: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P certification, a minimum of 3 years of previous coding experience in an acute care setting and proficiency in ICD-9-CM and CPT code assignment. Although overnight travel may not be required, the ability to travel is a plus.

Remote Coding Consultant

The Remote Coding Consultant will perform accurate code assignments for clients while working remotely from a home office. Requirements for the Coding Consultant position include: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P certification, a minimum of 3 years of previous coding experience in an acute care setting and proficiency in ICD-9-CM and CPT code assignment. The ability to provide a secure work environment is required.

Medical Audit Consultant, Cincinnati, OH

The Medical Audit Consultant will use their background in a clinical setting to assist in the revenue recovery process for our clients. A willingness to transition to understand the financial basis of hospitals is critical to the success of this position. The Medical Audit Consultant will review and reconcile hospital claims, working in the patient financial area of hospital. The ideal candidate must be an RN or LPN and have PC knowledge, mathematical abilities, strong communication skills, and analytical thinking process. APC/CDM Analyst

The APC/CDM Analyst will perform detailed APC audit services for clients nationwide. Requirements include: RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC credential (or any combination), minimum 3 years hospital-based or consulting experience. Experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT/HCPCS Coding, knowledge of DRG and APC reimbursement methodologies, thorough knowledge of coding and coding compliance guidelines, previous auditing experience preferred, knowledge of UB92 requirements, knowledge of Medicare billing guidelines, experience with CMS program memorandum/transmittals/manuals, ability to write reports and perform exit conferences, ability to work independently, the ability to travel nationwide.

Director, HIM Audit Services

This is a key position within the management team and will have responsibility for all operational aspects of the audit service line including staffing, strategy, report development, and client satisfaction. The specific responsibilities for the position include:

  • Manage and provide direction, training, and support to all staff involved in auditing and performing Compliance Reviews for clients.
  • Provide support and technical assistance to staff performing auditing. Continuously update and review compliance software to ensure edits are in compliance with updated guidelines.
  • Review all reports for accuracy prior to distribution to clients.
  • Work with Sales Team to evaluate proposals, pricing, and support regarding client engagements.
  • Perform audit and review services at client sites.

The requirements for the Director, HIM Audit Services include:

  • Bachelors Degree with RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credential.
  • Knowledge and experience performing inpatient and outpatient audit and review services including both DRG and APC services.
  • Previous management experience including managing the audit process in a consulting environment.
  • Strong technical skills including experience utilizing compliance/auditing software, databases management skills, and the ability to transfer data through a secure connection.
  • Business management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and pricing.
  • The ability to write reports and conduct exit conferences as well as a thorough understanding of coding compliance guidelines.
  • The ability to travel 25-50%.
