Support Our Troops & Honor Flight Network

UASI is pleased to announce that we will be supporting two organizations which benefit our nation’s military: Support Our Troops^® and Honor Flight Network^®.

Civilian-founded and civilian-led Support Our Troops^® is a nonpartisan, patriotic family organization through which people can look out for those who are looking out for all of us. Their motto is, “They Support Us - Let’s Support Them”. Support Our Troops^® welcomes support from all civilians, active-duty families and veterans.

Honor Flight Network^® was established in 2005 to assist veterans of World War II with travel to Washington DC to visit the WWII memorial. The goal of the organization is to expand these travel services to veterans of the Korean War and Vietnam War, followed by veterans of more current wars. Honor Flight Network^® wants to show veterans who have given so much that their efforts have not been forgotten.

Spare Change Drive

To support these organizations, UASI is conducting a Spare Change Drive from Memorial Day through July 4, 2009. Throughout the office in Cincinnati, jars will be placed to collect spare change you may have. For those employees who are working off-site, why not place a jar on the kitchen table to collect the change found in sofa cushions, laundry, or just change collected in your daily life.  Checks for the change collected can be made out to UASI and will be included with the office donation to these organizations.

Care Package Campaign

We will be holding a couple of campaigns throughout the year to organize “care packages” to send to the troops currently serving in the Middle East, however with Memorial Day coming up we wanted to start a monetary collection right away.
