Lions Clubs International

UASI is pleased to announce its support of Lions Clubs International. The International Association of Lions Clubs is the largest service organization in the world with over 1.4 million members in more that 43,300 clubs in 182 countries and geographic areas. Lions Clubs are not social clubs, although there are social benefits to membership. Lions Club members give their time, skills and resources to raise funds for charitable giving in both their communities and internationally.

Eyeglass Recycling Program

To help support their Eyeglass Recycling program, UASI is asking employees to donate their old eyewear. Everyday, Lions Clubs International recycled eyeglass programs helps a child to read, an adult succeed in his job, a senior maintain their independence, and provide a community with more opportunities to grow and thrive.

UASI will be collecting eyewear from June 1st through August 31st in the corporate office.  Employees can bring their eyeglasses to Human Resources for collection.

Employees outside of the Cincinnati area can drop off old eyewear at Lions-sponsored collection boxes in your community. Typical locations include libraries, schools, community centers, places of worship, coffee shops, optometrist offices and other public locations where communities socialize and get together. For information specific to locations in your community, contact your local Lions club.

You can also package your old eyeglasses and mail them to one of two locations:

  • Your nearest Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center
  • Lions Clubs International Headquarters
    Attention: Receiving Department
    300 W. 22nd Street
    Oak Brook, IL 60523, USA

Monetary Donations

UASI will also be making a monetary donation to the Lions Clubs.  Any employees interested in making a donation can send their contribution to Holly Saylor in Human Resources.
